There have been an increasing number of people joining the ranks of the network marketing industry. Some are looking to find a solution to the growing financial challenges they are facing, others are in search of financial freedom and the “perks” that top network marketing business builders have attained i.e. time with family, travel, beautiful homes and the ability to work where and when they choose.
However, a majority never find what they are in search of; largely because they have been disillusioned about what it really takes to be a top income earner in this industry. They see the low start-up costs, buy into all the hype and expect miracles without truly understanding the fundamentals of business building; hence the large failure rate and negative stigma the industry has.
I know, from my own experience how irritating it is to have someone you never heard of call the house, pitch their opportunity and then have the audacity to say that they are giving a discount to those that join on the first call. They buy leads and repeat this process over… and over… and over…a-n-d over. Granted, I’m sure there are some that have success going about business in this manner, but they have to “glue” the phone to their head all day and have the ability to persevere through rejection.
Yuk; hard sales tactics at their finest! Establishing a relationship is definitely not a priority in the mind of a person that runs their business this way. Most people that do join never feel comfortable with this process but, this is what’s often taught in the home business industry.

Three way calling people with upline members or cross line members does not position YOU as someone they can respect and trust. It just positions your upline or crossline member as the expert. This may be beneficial initially, but as soon as possible do the calls yourself. Also, educate yourself about business and leadership as much as possible. Build a large collection of books and/ or audio books and begin implementing the knowledge you gain ASAP!
2. Clarify what you want to accomplish in your business and personal life.
Picture what you want your business and your life to look like 2-5 years from now. What are your motives for starting a network marketing biz? Do you possess leadership qualities? What kind of relationships do you have with family, friends and business associates? How much money are you making? Are answers to these questions important enough to keep you focused on your vision? Really give some thought to this and then WRITE down the answers.
3. Develop your plan of action and then execute consistently.
When developing your plan of action, there are two aspects to focus on; efficiency and effectiveness. Understanding how each should be applied to your plan is very important. When dealing with processes such as generating leads, tracking different advertising and balancing accounts, think efficiency. Anything involving people such as building relationships or training your team, always think effectiveness. The difference between the two is time. It takes time to gain someone’s trust but generating quality leads can be done very quickly.
